Hi John,

Sorry it took so long to send this info to you but I finished my hydraulic modification and I'll have to take a couple photos to send to you.

I had a pump leaking problem and before I fixed it I changed locations of where I connected my spool valve set. I used the quick disconnect to go to my spool valve  and the lines to my valve set were tool small and caused enough flow restriction to blow the "O" ring under the head of the pump and increase a leak.

I have always had a leak there but very little. After removing the pump to install the new kit I found that the head plate was cracked and causing the leak. It will be a while for my dealer to get one so I had a local machine shop make one for me and it is of steel instead of cast and it works great.

Any way, my spool valve set has a pressure relief but won't bypass enough fluid  and since I had it before the diverter valve ( which acts as a relief to tank) it caused the problem. I removed the output line from the steering system that goes to the steel line on the left side of the tractor which is the return to tank. I bought another line like this from my dealer so I could have the fittings to match. I had the line cut in half and added standard fittings so I could install my spool valve set between the steering out and the tank return and it works great.

No problem with steering  or back pressure or lift. All works great. See attached page.

See you later,
DaveB

Hi John,

Attached are 3 photos for the change that I made and it works great. I sent you the drawing to show what I did.

My local hydraulic supplier didn't have the right fittings so I obtained another hose from Emerybuilt and had it cut in half and had them crimp on new fittings to change them to standard.

Steering, 3 point, and my new valve body all work with no problems.

See you later,

DaveB
