Hour meter, fuel gauge and oil pressure gauges quit working. replaced oil pressure gauge with a mechanical gauge; replaced wire type fuse with a more readily available blade type fuse and fuse holder. Hydraulic pump has vibrated loose several times; made a new thinner gasket and replaced lock washers on the bolts that hold the pump. The pump drive shaft and the part that drives it were pretty boogered up when the pump came loose the first time; suspect it could cause trouble somewhere down the road. When I first got the tractor it leaked hydraulic fluid at the three point hitch spool valve; a pinched o-ring was the problem. Now have 130hrs on the tractor and have developed a severe hydraulic leak out the filler vent for the three point lift. Finally, I noticed that the pto isn't fully disengaging when clutch petal is depressed once again, which leads me to question the quality of the material the clutch plates are made of.

I want a tractor that is going to start and run when I turn the key and do the work that I need it to do. Just recently I tried to start the tractor and it turned over a couple of times, then nothing. Problem was a poor ground wire connection. I seem to have had quite a few problems with my tractor and it's getting to the point every time I use it I wonder whats going to go wrong next.

Tractor outlet took about 3 weeks longer to deliver(81 days. I did not receive any assembly instructions. I ordered additional oil and fuel filters that were never shipped. The dealer promised to reimburse me $10. per day for every day the tractor was late and I'm still waiting for the check to arrive. I wont hold my breath. Dealer promised to remain in contact with me on the status of the tractor, he did not. The only time I spoke with him is after I contacted him. Update: Terry, from tractor outlet, has made good on all the problems that I stated above. He is an honest businessman and I wouldn't hesitate to do business again.

1. Weak anti-freeze iced up engine - fixed before any damage. 2. Radiator hoses cracked/leaked in 1 year. Chinese rubber bad, replacements were good US made hoses. 3. Broke left steering knuckle. Front end loader stress?? 4. Engine oil pressure gauge line broke.

Directional signal switch broke - replaced with one form my local hardware store. I received two right hand front mounts for the FEL (I modified one myself). One fitting on the FEL had a fluid leak. I am currently working with Terry to figure out a repair for the fluid leak. No problems with the tractor itself.

I can't say enough good about Terry. The tractor arrived in 60 days almost to the day. It went together well and I had no problems with the tractor itself - only a very minor problem with one switch. I had 2 problems with the FEL. Terry is great to deal with and was/is a big help in solving the FEL problems. He's very patient, gives good advice, and is very helpful. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a good solid tractor for a good price. The only reservation is that you need to be mechanically inclined as the factory manuals are of very little help in assembly. All-in-all, a great tractor for the price and a fun project to assemble. I would rate Terry and the tractor higher than a "5" if that option were available.

Top radiator hose leaked slightly...Solution consisted of re-tightning factory installed clamp. Also received tractor with ripped rubber dust / dirt protective boot on hydraulic steering cylinder shaft....Dealer (Bolton) provided two free spares, I disconnected tie rod joint, removed damaged boot and replaced with new boot.....All is well.

So far based on limited usage, tractor is a Great Value for the money spent. I use the tractor in Maine. Used it sparingly in winter for some snow removal but have since used it to move approximately 25 cubic yards of bank run gravel and spread it using the FEL to an area where I will be constructing a permanent garage this summer...Last winter the tractor was stored in a portable "Cover-it" brand garage. Have had a few people look at my Jinma since it arrived last Autumn and they appeared to be impressed especially when I told them what I paid for it. Could be potential future buyers.

: i repaired 15 item's.Fuel leaks,hydralic leaks.no horn,no turn signals
,no battery hold down,no rubber insulater under fuel tank,hand throttle
didnt work,hydralic hoses for loader hanging on or near ground. also
purchased a 5 ft brush hog,the center link for 3-point is to long in the
process of getting a shorter one.Still awaiting rignt owners manual,and
trying ot find out what spare parts comes with the tractor.

Gauge problems and paint shipping damage. Caused by poor crate
assembly, two tractors stacked on top each other caused damage to bottom ones. Many gauge problems, Fuel and Tach mainly. Few blown fuses because of glow plugs and fuse installed incorrectly.

Some minor damage in shipping, I broke hydraulic pump.

I only have six hours, basically run-in time. I love the tractor and the
support from Tractor Outlet. I haven't attached the backhoe because I have
a six-way rear blade. Terry's video was very helpful, I wish it included
the backhoe. The tractor runs a little warm sometimes, over eighty
centigrade, but I am not sure it is out of operating range. It is slow to
cool down, even at a slow idle. I seem to be losing oil from the lifter
overflow, but I am not sure it is a problem yet.

looks like Jinma. I Think it is 1999, 204 the front is more like it. the
pto is 8 Spline in stead of 6 like we use here .I have all the Three

This tractor has been nothing but a bunch of problems from the git go.
A loose ball bearing was left in the transfer case which locked up the
front end the first time out. The ball got wedged between the case and a
gear and did no damage to either. After removing the steel ball, the
front diferential started making a "klicking" noise, mostly while
turning. This was the differential case and gears making noise. The
bolts that hold the diff case together were loose and it separated
slightly. It tore the 2 spider gears up. The factory sent me the wrong
parts and Nobody in the USA has got the parts needed to fix it. The
diodes in the Alternator smoked out, the oil pressure sending unit quit,
The front loader operates real slow and I do believe that problem lies in
the spool valve. The brakes are almost non-existant and the right side
brake locks up when in reverse and the transmission likes to jump out of
1st......and this is only the tip of the ole Iceberg!! I blame most of
the problems with the tranny and the front end on the assemblers.

For the price you can not find a better tractor! More then enough power for anything I want to do. And if anything does go wrong with it I CAN ACTUALLY FIX IT MYSELF and not take out a 2nd mortgage to pay a dealer to fix it.Problems with the fit and finish I found to be minor. I am very satisfied with it and wouild recomend a Jinma and Bolton Power (Graham) to anybody.

The electrical fuse system was a disaster. All fuses included were the same fuse wire, and of course blew when I tried to start the engine. I had to replace the fuses with u.s. components. Other electrical problems included a bad turn signal switch, and the fuel gauge died after about 10 hours. The power steering tie rod came loose and mangled the threads. Apparently, the lock nut was not tightened at the factory. I'm waiting for the delivery on an order for a thread-cutting die to renew the threads.

An extra $100 was needed to get the "bonded warehouse" to the shipment. This was supposed to be included in the purchase price, and dealer has agreed to refund it. Not yet received.

This tractor has been great. My brother in law used it for la complete
andscapping around his resturant and loves it. Every thing works great

1. Delivery took longer than what was discusse (Ordered in June, delivered in September).
2. Brakes needing adjusting after about 10 hours of use.
3. Some small scratch marks, no big deal though.
4. Dealer extremely patient and knowledgeable with my questions. First time owner to any type of tractor; therefore difficult to compare to other types of tractors. However, pleased so far and meeting my expectations. Good value for the money.
5. Chinese FEL with new joy-stick. Nice and responsive
6. Tough to crank up during the winter months.

Hydrolic fittings for FEL leaking. Mostly from installation of O-rings which weren't seated correctly. Quick connect for FEL also leaking. Hose fitting at water pump leaking, I tightened it but it didn't seem to help, haven't gotten into it further. John, your backhoe attachment frame reinforcements are a good idea, I bent the frame on mine first time out. Something going on with power steering, when I turn the wheel, the steering wheel will keep on turning, and if I am driving with a load in the FEL unless I keep turning the wheels want to come back to center staight. Any ideas? Overall I think this is a great tractor, plenty of power. Terry at Tractor Outlet is a good guy, I would buy through him again.

Broke lift arm on 3 point using box blade to move snow. It is low grade pop-iron and needs more reinforcement. Gages collect mositure, light bulbs fail, and horn stopped. Hand throttle will not stay put.

I have an Allis same size. It is much easier to handle, shift, control 3 point and set on. The Jinma does pull better in snow. This tractor replaced my Ford 9N but I do not think it one will last the same 60 years.

The handle for the Differential lock broke off, leaving the threaded part inside the part that rotates to push the lock. After removing the threaded part it was easy to screw in a new handle that was supplied by the dealer.

32 hours - Broke lower link arm anti-sway chain clevis pin while plowing. 44 hours - Ignition switch stopped functioning.

Dealer had no one that knew anything about assembling a jinma-254.many oil,water and hydraulic leaks.Hand throtle didnt work and i rewired most of the tractor.I did all the repairs myself,15 mile trip to dealer to far to haul to get leak fixed..Dealer did provide any parts ,oil and ect that
was needed for the repairs and has since hired qualified personal that has a basic understanding of machinery.

The jm-254 with a koyker loader is very impressive,you have to be very careful when handling big loads or you 4-wheel will turn into a 2-wheel. I think the hydraulics are great..Wished it had a reverse between low and high.

engine gauge, oil pressure gauge died, got a new one free form Steve, but by that time I had already installed a dirrect reading mechanical unit... Tractor isa a brute for it's size, far suppirior to the GREEN big name one that my boss has! Buying a new one agine soon.

I do quite a bit of logging - and the 204 takes me to places from which it would have bee impossible ot get the wood out- spiked ovako type chains on the back wheel is a must in Finnish winter conditions

installed american gauges........redrilled mounting holes for body bolts...put rubber hose over metal hyd. lines where they came in contact with other metal on tractor....installed rear work lights as well as front work lights....turned various pins and cotter pins to keep from rubbing and wearing through power steering lines

over all i am very pleased with my jm354 just needed a few minor things done to insure the longevity of the unit as far as the engine goes i cant
say enough,power is excellent,fuel consumption is extremely economical.i would recommend these tractors to anyone thinking of purchasing a small tractor for estate use or as i use it for small scale farming such as produce,herbs and dried flower production
